people spend more than 100 hrs commuting to work

Commuting is the process of traveling between your home and place of work or college by car, train, bus or bike. Most of us travel at the same time of day or during "rush hour." and the U.S. Census Bureau americans travel an avg. of 24.4 minutes. 23% of people in Boston take public transit which forces a lot of different personalities to deal with each other on a daily basis. My commute from Ipswich to Boston: I walk from my house to the commuter train at the center of town stopping for coffee:12 mins, commuter train ride reading the paper or working: 50 mins, subway 15-20 minutes. The greenline is always slower so i usually take the orangeline to backbay, walk from baybay station to my office stopping for second cup of coffee: 10 mins. It adds up to about 1 hr and half each way or three hrs total. I've been doing this for seven yrs have my commuter pals that i see everyday, but that is not want this blog is about, This blog is about the stuff I or we experience everyday. All of have see people do some crazy shit, endangering people by reading a novel or applying make-up while driving. I saw one women making bread crumbs on the subway. Not kidding, she had her jeweled up hand with red nails inside a bread bag squeezing the slices into crumbs with her germy public transit hands! Drunks peeing between train cars, people jumping off train cars while moving, a guy clipping his toe nails, two ridiculously hot Asain twins dressed exactly alike and it was not Halloween are few things i have seen. Then you have the over heard cell phone conversations like, test results, verbal abusive arguments, a lot of women bitching about other women and then the general telegraph of every move. "yeah, i'm on the train. yeah, i just sat down. yeah, i'm a boring idiot." okay, it isn't no all bad I do see some amazing sunsets, beautiful vistas with the changing seasons and wonderful for bird watching. Anyway, this blog is so i can vent about my commute because i sure my co-workers and my girlfriend of thirteen years are sick of hearing about.
